About the Founder
Practical Supply Chain Leadership Built from the Ground Up
Modern Supply Group was founded by Cole O’Neill, a supply chain professional with 12+ years of experience across operations, procurement, sourcing, planning, CPG, manufacturing, systems, and analytics.
Cole’s career started hands-on in distribution operations while working full time and pursuing his education full time. That foundation shaped a practical consulting approach built around execution, visibility, and solving real operational problems, not just creating strategy slides.
Since then, Cole has supported fast-moving supply chain environments where supplier performance, inventory visibility, cost control, systems, and execution directly impact growth. His background includes building procurement processes, improving planning visibility, developing cost and margin tools, supporting supplier governance, and creating analytics that help teams make better decisions.
Modern Supply Group brings together hands-on operations experience, formal supply chain education, Lean Six Sigma thinking, data analytics, and practical AI-enabled workflows to help growing companies create structure, reduce fire drills, and scale with more control.

Consulting FAQs
What industries do you specialize in?
We support CPG, e-commerce, manufacturing, distribution, and other product-based businesses that rely on suppliers, inventory, procurement, planning, and operational execution. Our work is best suited for growing companies that need better visibility, stronger systems, cleaner processes, and more disciplined supply chain execution.

What role does AI play in your consulting?
AI is used as a practical support tool, not a buzzword. We help identify where AI can reduce manual work, improve reporting, simplify decision-making, summarize operational data, support documentation, and create cleaner workflows.
